Ryan Jenkins is our Farm Insurance Specialist based in Tamworth, supporting farmers across northwest NSW. Growing up, Ryan spent time on his grandparents’ cattle farm in Stroud, NSW, where his grandad would let him buy a couple of calves to get him involved in raising cattle. This hands-on experience shaped his understanding of what’s at stake for farmers. When it comes to farm insurance, it is about protecting not just assets, but livelihoods and legacies, to help keep farmers farming
Ryan’s connection to agriculture has remained constant throughout his career, with various roles taking him across the Peel, Namoi and Gwydir regions, working closely with farmers.
He takes the time to understand each farm, what they do, how they do it and the stories behind each operation.
“Every farm is different. Asking questions is the way to stay informed about the issues farmers are facing,” Ryan shares.
Ryan takes pride in being reliable and approachable, and in building long-term relationships with the farmers he supports.
Ryan has also bred working dogs. Border collies are his go-to, and he appreciates the history behind the breed. Outside of work, you can find Ryan exercising outdoors and spending time in the mountains around Nundle.
