Passionate about Achmea’s principles of solidarity and community support, our Senior Underwriter Wendy Illistom and Risk Specialist Mark Vayro are both volunteer firefighters. This summer, along with thousands of others, Wendy and Mark put themselves on the front line of the fires to protect lives, homes and communities.

Just recently, we sat down with Mark to hear first-hand about his experience on the ground as a volunteer firefighter.

Key Accounts – Rural Insurance Officer

Achmea has had considerable success building a portfolio of high value clients and so we are currently seeking an experienced Key Accounts Rural Insurance Officer to join our growing team in the Sydney office. The role is required to manage a designated portfolio of high value clients including the completion of policy endorsements and administration as well as providing support to the Risk Specialists and Commercial team. We are looking for an ambitious starter looking to progress their career within the rural insurance industry.

Client Services Officer

The Client Services Officer will join an integral team who act as the main point of contact for our portfolio of clients. They will be responsible for answering calls from existing and prospective clients as well as processing policy changes accurately and effectively. The ideal candidate will strive to ensure our clients receive excellent customer service with every dealing and have a proactive nature in retaining client relationships and internal stakeholder relationships. 

Senior Risk Manager

The Senior Risk Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing business processes and procedures pertaining to Achmea’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and will support the Chief Risk Officer in leading all risk related activities to enhance the understanding and awareness of Risk Management at Achmea. The successful candidate will have 10+ years risk management experience gained within the Financial Services Industry, ideally with some insurance industry specific experience.
