Hailing from Trangie, about 70km west of Dubbo, Debby spent most of her youth on a 96,000-acre stud cattle and sheep property, before moving to a Liverpool Plains, Breeza cattle property with her family. Prior to joining Achmea Australia, Debby was the Rural Financial Counsellor for Armidale/Walcha and surrounding areas, assisting farmers through the drought, 2019-20 bushfires and subsequent storms and floods.

Through her years spent in the New England and Northwest regions, Debby has a thorough understanding of the challenges local farmers face. With diplomas in both Management and Rural Financial counselling, Debby is in her element as a Farm Insurance Specialist with Achmea Australia. “Being out on-farm, combining my experience in finance and local knowledge, to help keep farmers farming was a huge attraction to the role for me,” says Debby. “I’m excited to build relationships with farmers and take the time to understand their businesses and what they value most, so if something happens, they can get their operations back up and running.”

Debby is based in Tamworth and has three grown children and five grandchildren who all live locally.
