Hailing from Griffith in the beautiful NSW Riverina, Peta Argus was born and raised in the region she now supports as a Farm Insurance Specialist.

Growing up, Peta spent her school holidays on her grandparents’ sheep and cattle property at Lurg, in the northwest region, Victoria. These days, Peta is often found on her parent’s cattle farm on the Murrumbidgee River. With a stock and station agent father in the family, Peta developed a strong awareness of the needs and challenges faced by farmers and growers.

Peta is equipped with many years of experience in both commercial and agriculture financial services, and has an ongoing commitment to supporting farmers, specifically during natural disasters, such as droughts and floods.

“Achmea Australia’s purpose of keeping farmers farming is what really attracted me to this role. I also find it rewarding to be able to get out and witness our beautiful landscape on a regular basis,” Peta said.

“I am passionate about helping, assisting, and working directly with local farmers, continuing to support them with their farm insurance needs, when they need it.”

Eager to assist farmers, Peta has embraced our on-farm approach to farm insurance, regularly visiting and connecting with clients across the region.
