Sharlene Smith brings over 13 years’ experience in both commercial and agricultural insurance to her role as a Farm Insurance Specialist in Toowoomba and the Darling Downs region across Southeast Queensland. While her career has spanned multiple insurance sectors, her focus has always been with rural clients and primary producers.
Originally from Tamworth, NSW, Sharlene grew up on the land and developed a strong understanding of farming life early on. She has been based in Queensland for the past 10 years, where she is focused on building close connections with farming communities.

Sharlene takes a practical and relationship-driven approach. By taking the time to understand how each farm operates and identifying potential risks, she supports farmers so that they can keep their insurance up to date as their business evolves.
Sharlene works across regions with diverse agricultural activity, including livestock, cropping, and mixed farming operations. She understands the pressure seasonal conditions, downtime and rising costs can place on farm businesses, and works with clients so that they can make sure their cover reflect those realities.
Outside of work, Sharlene volunteers with Orange Sky Australia and enjoys travelling in her campervan, attending music festivals, and spending time with her family overseas.
