Based in Cairns and with a wealth of experience from the agricultural and financial sectors, Tara Dixon is our Farm Insurance Specialist for farmers in the Far Noth Queensland. Raised in the farming community of Coomealla in southwest New South Wales, Tara spent much of her childhood on wheat and sheep stations, surrounded by a diverse agricultural landscape of vineyards and orange orchards. It was this personal experience at an early age which fostered her deep connection to agriculture.
With over two decades of experience, Tara combines her expertise in financial services, including general insurance, compliance, policy, and procedure, with her agricultural background, to provide exceptional and tailored service to clients.
Joining Achmea Australia as a Farm Insurance Specialist has enabled Tara to reconnect with her roots and the agricultural community she loves. Her personal approach aligns with Achmea Australia’s cooperative values, focusing on face-to-face interactions, building strong relationships, and understanding each farm’s unique needs.

Outside of work, Tara makes the most of the beautiful natural environment of Far North Queensland and is an avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoying dirt biking, hiking, and trail running, often with her three sons.
