Preparations are in full swing for the Landfall Angus Spring Bull Sale taking place on Wednesday, 13 September 2023.

Through working with specialist agricultural insurer Achmea Australia, all 294 bulls on offer at the Landfall Spring Sale will be provided with Achmea Australia’s 2 Star Stud Stock insurance for the first three months from purchase.

Landfall Angus is a family owned and operated livestock producer, currently run by the fourth and fifth generations of the Archer Family. Directors Frank Archer and Ed Archer and the Landfall team run 2,500 stud cows and hold bi-annual bull sales, through which they offer more than 500 sires per year.

Landfall has been working with Achmea Australia for several years; a collaboration brought about through a mutual commitment to risk management and one that Frank says adds to buyer confidence.

“Adequate insurance is critical to the financial security of agribusinesses. Our buyers have assurance in knowing bulls purchased through Landfall auctions are covered for three months with Achmea Australia for mortality, accidental loss of use, and transit,” said Frank.

Achmea Australia Farm Insurance Specialists Michelle Stevens, Mark Gaetani and Joshua Pearce will attend Landfall’s Spring Bull Sale and will be on hand to discuss the levels of stud stock insurance available, and any other farm insurance needs.

“The success of any agribusiness is dependent on managing risk effectively and with Achmea Australia’s stud stock policy, breeders can choose the level of cover to suit their insurance needs,” Michelle said.

“Landfall has a great reputation for producing quality cattle and providing great service. Their approach to risk management and delivering products and services of the highest quality are driving factors in their success and a testament to the family-run business,” Michelle said.

“As a specialist agricultural insurer, we are pleased to work with Landfall once again to help deliver on our purpose of keeping farmers farming,” she said.

Frank said amid calving and managing the challenging winter period, the Landfall team has been busy preparing the bulls for sale.

“Buyers can look forward to seeing another offering of quality bulls that bring a high-performance genetic package in the appealing Landfall phenotype,” Frank said.

Landfall’s Spring Bull sale will take place at Landfall Angus in Dilston, Tasmania on Wednesday, 13 September 2023, commencing at 1pm. Buyers also have the option to participate in the sales remotely, through online livestock marketplace Auctions Plus*.
