Experiencing the devastation caused by the Black Tuesday fires to South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, is something that Kaydee will never forget.
Being part of a group offering support to farmers affected was a powerful and moving experience for Kaydee, but it also triggered her interest in agriculture.
“It was not easy, but it was an amazing opportunity to work alongside farmers and offer them support during such a vulnerable time,” Kaydee said.
“That’s when I became really interested in farming and it is also why I’m so passionate about making sure they are adequately protected.”
Prior to joining Achmea as a Farm Insurance Specialist, Kaydee worked in the finance sector for more than 10 years, specifically in rural branch management.
She loves the fact that her current role allows her to get out on farm and chat to farmers to understand the history of their farm, as well as understanding their motivation.
Kaydee is based in Mount Gambier, loves to travel and takes a keen interest in learning about the latest advances in farming technology.
